It’s a new year and boy am I feeling it. Almost every part of my life has changed recently and I haven’t adjusted to the change yet. I am looking forward to this year and decade though and I’m glad that all of the changes happened at a time that makes sense as far as new beginnings go. So here’s my 2020 outlook!
New Job. New Home
I started at a new company right before Christmas and now that the holidays are over I’m really getting into the swing of things. I’m excited to begin work with an awesome and supportive team that I can learn from.
Another new thing, Daniel and I moved! Our apartment was robbed two days after I started my new job, right before Christmas, and man it was awful. Not a fun experience. Luckily we have amazingly supportive friends and family who gave us a place to stay, helped watch our pets, and helped us move out. Most of our electronics were taken and being displaced for Christmas put us in a weird mood, but we did get to spend lots of time with family!
We found a new place and moved in within two weeks of the burglary. Even though the circumstances were terrible the place we’re at now is so much nicer and closer to our jobs. I think we both feel much happier and comfortable here.

Up and Coming
A few very exciting things are in store for this year. The most immediate is that we’re going to Rome! We leave in two days and luckily our passports came in on time. This will be our first trip out of the country together and the first one that I’ll be able to remember.
I’ll have a whole post about it when we get back with tons of photos.
Next a few key things I hope to accomplish:
- Get healthy
- Completely finish unpacking
- Enjoy time in our new place and with each other as we take on our second year of marriage
Daniel and I will also be getting baptized this Easter! I am extremely excited for that.
All in all, I think it’s going to be a great year. What are you looking forward to in 2020?
YOU
