Welcome, Peter!

It has been quite a while but for a really good reason! Daniel and I had a baby boy!

2020 Outlook

It’s a new year and boy am I feeling it. Almost every part of my life has changed recently and I haven’t adjusted to the change yet. I am looking forward to this year and decade though and I’m glad that all of the changes happened at a time that makes sense as far as new beginnings go. So here’s my 2020 outlook!

Introducing the Paper & Coffee Podcast

I am so excited to be introducing the Paper & Coffee podcast to you all today! This is something I have been thinking about doing for a while but I am so happy to let you know that it’s finally here.

What’s in my work trip carry on?

Since I started my job last year I’ve been traveling more often than normal from Dallas to NYC and in that time I’ve tweaked and perfected what I bring with me in my carry on. Read on to find out more as well as some tips and tricks!

Spring and Summer Reading Wrap Up

It’s been busy so I’m grouping together Spring and Summer for this reading wrap-up. All in all, I read some great books but it doesn’t look like I’ll be making it to 52 books this year. I cannot wait for my favorite season – Fall!!

Beauty’s Role in Churches

Today’s post is a little different but it’s something I’ve been thinking about. I’ve been trying to find ways to talk more about my faith and I thought the Easter season would be a great time to do that! I was struggling to find ways to fit this into my blog but then I remembered that this blog is about my interests and all the pieces that make up this young woman and hopefully it connects to other women (or men!) with similar interests.

Winter Reading Wrap-Up

It’s hard to believe that winter is already over. The first two months of this year just flew by and I’m excited to see what else is in store. Spring already has me excited for the changing weather where I can get outside! But before we look into spring, let’s take a look back at what I read in the winter. Unfortunately,  I haven’t made much progress towards my 52 book goal in 2019 (spoiler: I’m only 4 down), but I think I can still get there as I take a little more time to read.

Hey there, 2019

It’s hard to believe that 2019 is here but it is, and with that I want to take a second to talk about my goals for 2019. I like looking at what people are trying to accomplish and also getting inspired to find new goals to work towards.

Writing Update

Another NaNo has come and gone and I was not a winner, but I did get some writing done. This year in general I’ve written more than I did the previous year and for now I’m going to count that as a win.

Fall Reading Wrap-Up

Fall is my favorite and with my wedding this year it was even more so! However, that means I don’t feel like I got very much reading done. I’m curious to see it all wrapped up and I feel like I’m about to fly through some books. Honestly, podcasts have been taking up a lot of my time which I don’t regret, it’s just meant fewer audiobooks.
